When the red-red-robin goes bob-bob-bobin' along...

It's morning. The light shines best into the apartment when it's early. I suppose it isn't quite as morning as it could be...being about 15 minutes away from noon...but who cares.

I like it here. I get no sense of danger here. We keep windows open all night and we don't feel obligated to make sure everything is safe all the time. Perhaps that will come back and bite us in the ass but...I'd rather not waste my life obsessed about the slight possibility of getting robbed.

There's cars here and lights on in apartments...but you never really see anyone. We see our neighbor more than anyone but have never seen him long enough that we've learned his name. We see cars drive in and out occasionally but...never see the people walking around. And our apartment is right in front of the walkway to get to the apartments...but nobody ever walks by.

It's very quiet here and I like it. I like being in a place where I can have all of the curtains open and still walk around in my underwear or nightgown. It's peaceful and charming...and the more I get used to the town, the more I fall in love with it. Not so much the people, even though I've met a few who were perfectly normal...but the area. It's cozy and simple. I can't wait for it to get colder. It'll be so nice here. And furthermore...I can't wait till we're settled in and not as money crazy. I like to imagine making a big breakfast in the morning that doesn't make me think "should we save this food in case we run out and don't have money to buy groceries?". That would be nice. Will be.

Later for now
